Spectacular sunset

Image
I was coming home from picking up dinner at Gordo's and got sidetracked taking pictures in our yard. As I came around to the west side of the yard I was hit with a texture and brilliant color explosion from a very spectacular sunset. We split a pork burrito and lg coleslaw it was good but the coleslaw was a bit creamy for my taste. If we were very hungry we would have needed 2 burritos - total cost $19 bzd. James Blunt You're beautiful is playing at the Black and White bar right now - I have been enjoying hearing their music since we moved in. Last night Paul and I were laying in bed and I was laughing at what they were playing like Air Supply Lost in Love. Then they went onto some really cool Spanish music.

Goodbye Mr Kick

Image
We are just about headed out the door to go to tackle Box Trivia and Scott Kick's last hurrah party before he leaves for his new job. We lost by 3 points. I had every intention to bring my camera and snap a few pics. I plugged it in to charge a few min before we left - unfortunately it ended up staying there so I pulled a Miss Sharon and pinched a few pics of Scott's art work from his blog. We all wish him well and hope that his great new job is everything he hopes for, the selfish side of us will miss his trivia nights - I am sure we will see him again because I know San Pedro has definitly captured his heart.

World Society for the Protection of Animals

We had already planned to go Pedro's tonight to meet up with Wade the Gringo so when Cindy rang and mentioned there was to be a fundraising seminar at 5pm we decided to get there early so I could attend. Max came from Costa Rica to share his knowledge on how to become more successful at fundraising. Although he is from World Society for the Protection of Animals and was gearing the seminar specifically to Saga, there was much valuable information for anyone to learn - especially with all the fundraising that goes on in San Pedro. Max did a great job of getting us involved and thinking of new strategies while going through the information package he provided. Not only did I gain great information, I learned more about Saga as well in the process. Max explaining sources of revenue

Teamwork

Image
When working with others it is important for people to use their best skill sets in order to make a good team. This greatly reduces frustration from trying to do something you are not good at and gets things accomplished much easier and more efficiently. A perfect example of this transpired for Paul and I today. We had to get some paperwork filled out in order to go to Belize City later this week and apply for new Canadian passports. I was the one who started the ball rolling, planned our route (for today and later this week) and got us out the door. Paul filled out our forms at Island Perk over an iced coffee frappe leaving me and my short attention span free to take a few pictures. By the time he was done our passport mugshots were ready and we were off to go get them signed. Sending a shout out to CD in DC - follow your wanderlust Puppies Bath time Wet puppies
