Tonight's the big night. I just popped into a net cafe as I could only get so far on Forrest's mac and accessing my preset blog posts was not happening. Been having a great time so far. Went for a nice long walk this morning then had steak and eggs at the Lucky Penny and went to Trader Joes to drool at all the choices and pick up a few things. For now you will have to wait till I get home for pictures as I have not found an option to get any uploaded yet. Will be hooking up with Gela shortly and then we will probably head into the Market st area for the big party tonight. The party was great - I won first place in public vote with 35.0% and 1,262 Votes definitly reason to celebrate. They had all kinds of LP branded swag on the tables for us - shoelaces - book marks - shot glasses filled with Jelly Belly's - travel books and- Matthew gave me a whole extra box of Lonely Planet books for coming all the way from Belize. Overall my flight to San Fran was pretty easy. Dallas airport is huge - I was surprised to see they now have ipod vending machines. My connecting flight was delayed a bit and got in late - boy was it cold. Luckily it was fast to catch a shuttle van and the guy had good music playing - got front door drop off from the airport for $17 very reasonable. It is actually Monday night right now but I am crossing stuff off my list on order to get ready for my trip. I figured uploading the pics and text (see below) from my newest guest contributor Joe is as good a place to start as any. Internet has been down since last night so I have been organizing cleaning and packing this morning. I really do not have much to take and would probably go with just a carry on but I am hoping to be able to squeeze a small shop in so I figured I better have the extra space. It’s time for a stuff swap and been arranging with Pedro to have one next week so stay tuned for more details on that. I have a big bag full of cloths and will get working on the e-vite soon as we get net. We took a walk to Forrest’s last night and got his key. I showed him the maps I had printed off and he game me a few tips on where to go for coffee and sushi and stuff. He also mentioned that he has wifi - very handy as I did not plan to bring my computer and Paul was wanted to know how I would tell him the good news after the party.
