Happy 2 year Anniversary
Today marks our 2and year anniversary of moving to Ambergris Caye. It is lot colder than the day we turned up - I remember how warm and sunny it was and I could not stop thinking how we had finally arrived to our tropical island paradise and made it out of the cold and snow.
So much has changed since then - got an apartment and settled in - volunteered at Holy Cross School - met so many people - started this blog - planned so many great parties - enjoyed countless hours of beach time - made a small mark on the environment by consuming less - still wish someone would start a recycling program here.
It has not always been easy we have gone through some difficult times as well - missed friends and family. We have learned how to manage in a world of cowboys and indians - where the rules of the game are not always the same for everyone - we are not in a first world country and we quickly learned to adapt - patience is a must and logic does not always win.
