Saying no to Snow in San Pedro

I have been hearing from friends how it is cold and snow back in Toronto.

This morning on the coconut phone, Patrick sent me a few pictures he shot recently and while they are nice to look at, I am sure glad that we ended up with a palm tree view especially when it includes pig roasts and calender girl parties.

February 2nd - Come join the Calendar Girls at the Mardi Gras Party at Crazy Canucks. 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Every year people bring their best Gumbo and Mardi Gras Food and shares with all. Bring your best dish and enjoy the evening with old and new friends.
February 3rd - The Calendar Girls will be featured at Fido's South along with Kelly McGuire from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Come enjoy the sites, the sounds of Kelly McGuire and the Super Bowl.
February 3rd - Super bowl party at Tackle Box, come on out and enjoy February message board drink specials.

Help Save Bacalar Chico

According to 7News Belize, the Government of Belize is planning to 'De-Reserve' at least 3,000 acres of the Bacalar Chico Marine & Wildlife Reserve in Northern Ambergris Caye, and sell the land to developers. According to reports, the deal is all but done. Residents of Ambergris Caye are being urged to come together and protest this issue. It is also very important for non residents of Belize to support this issue. Many of you have fallen in love with Ambergris Caye and keep coming back for more. Please help us make it known how we feel about the preservation of Marine and Wildlife Reserve area of Bacalar Chico. If you are not in Belize and want to take a stand against the sale and de-reserve of Bacalar Chico land please leave a comment with your first and last name and where you are from and I will put together a master list.
