SAGA needs an isolation unit to prevent the transmission of infectious disease in their kennel and clinic.

We have been given a stall to raise money for SAGA isolation unit project by the San Pedro Business Association for the up coming Food Festival, which will be held on Saturday the 31st from 5:00 - 11:00pm.

We will be having a cake stand, with a wide variety of delicious cakes, cupcakes, brownies etc. We are excited that Island Perk is supporting us and our stand will in the main food / park area.

If you would like to make a cake or some other yummy treat to donate to the cake stand, we would be ever so grateful.

Please email conchcreative[at]btinternet.com or call 226 4366 if you want to cook up a storm for us. If you can't bake but you want to help some other way, please come down and join us for cake and coffee on the 31st.

Help Save Bacalar Chico

According to 7News Belize, the Government of Belize is planning to 'De-Reserve' at least 3,000 acres of the Bacalar Chico Marine & Wildlife Reserve in Northern Ambergris Caye, and sell the land to developers. According to reports, the deal is all but done. Residents of Ambergris Caye are being urged to come together and protest this issue. It is also very important for non residents of Belize to support this issue. Many of you have fallen in love with Ambergris Caye and keep coming back for more. Please help us make it known how we feel about the preservation of Marine and Wildlife Reserve area of Bacalar Chico. If you are not in Belize and want to take a stand against the sale and de-reserve of Bacalar Chico land please leave a comment with your first and last name and where you are from and I will put together a master list.
