Easter Sunday fun

Got the official details about this weekends Kite Competition so I figured I may as well post it sooner than later so you can mark on your calendar. So far we have 4 invites for Sunday afternoon definitly planning on this event as I can't wait to see the kites - will have to see which of the others we make it to.

Moose's Children's Annual Kite Competition
Easter Sunday (April 12)
From 11 am on at Crazy Canucks beach

Top prize
Moose will open a $200 savings account in the winners name at Belize Bank

Second Prize
Eiden Salazar will donate $100 to the second place winner

Other prizes will be given for largest kite - smallest kite - prettiest kite - most creative -best overall flyer - highest flyer - longest time flyer friendliest flyer.

Rules
1. Each contestant must build their own kite (parental assistance only is accepted)
2. each contestant must bring a really big smile and use it during the competition.

In addition to all the competition fun there will be live music with Drummer Dan's Beach Jam and bbq - burgers hot dogs and more.

Help Save Bacalar Chico

According to 7News Belize, the Government of Belize is planning to 'De-Reserve' at least 3,000 acres of the Bacalar Chico Marine & Wildlife Reserve in Northern Ambergris Caye, and sell the land to developers. According to reports, the deal is all but done. Residents of Ambergris Caye are being urged to come together and protest this issue. It is also very important for non residents of Belize to support this issue. Many of you have fallen in love with Ambergris Caye and keep coming back for more. Please help us make it known how we feel about the preservation of Marine and Wildlife Reserve area of Bacalar Chico. If you are not in Belize and want to take a stand against the sale and de-reserve of Bacalar Chico land please leave a comment with your first and last name and where you are from and I will put together a master list.
