4:25 pm dashing around getting ready to catch the pontoon boat at 5:30 pm to head to Blue Lotus where we will meet up with Paul, Cindy, Zac, Herb, Alan and Lara. 3:39 am just got home after walking around town - after Blue Lotus we did perk for midnight , checked out Fido's for a minute then headed down to the Cuban place for mohito's and water ending up sitting on the beach chatting at BC's for hours - Cindy 2 Pauls Pierre and I for a while then Pierre caught a cat nap under a palm tree - Lorraine and Fred showed up for a bit - after they left we all decided it was time to head home. Off to watch entourage marathon now. What a treat to have good rice - food was delicious Last nights dinner menu ... This morning I was reading about the egg shortage in this weeks ambergris today and it got me wanting breakfast at Estel's. When Paul woke up he agreed that was a good plan but wanted an iced coffee first and some pc time to wake up so I got to chat with my friends for a while on the Ambergris Caye message board - everyone was in big chat talking about February plans and meeting up with each other when they get here. We are heading out to catch the pontoon boat soon to go to Blue Lotus for their soft opening. After the pina colada I had there the other day I am excited to see how their food compares. Delicious food and great company what more could one ask for? I have not had pakora's in over 2 years so it was a real treat to have some tonight with our appetizers - they were served with a mint avocado dip - the meal was a bit on the spicy side for me, but everything we tried was very tasty - they served us rice, lamb, beef, buttered chicken palak, grated cabbage salad and delicious banana ice cream for desert. Blue Lotus offers Luxury Dining - a short pontoon boat ride away. Hours 11:30 - 2:30 for lunch 5:30 - 10:30 dinner Closed Mondays Departure schedule soon to come. I was very happy to have a day off and no plans to go anywhere - that did not last long as I suddenly found myself making plans for the live music and Friday night buffet at Wet Willy's. I just finished hanging laundry and noticed I was feeling a bit out of sorts like a cold or something is trying to take hold so I am taking a shot of mms and lime juice and going to go couch surf with Oprah. Power went out while we were on our way to Wet Willy's so we arrived to a dark bar full of people. We got to see jelly fish light up in the water - apparently they are not supposed to be here till April but warmer waters could be the cause for early sightings. We ended up putting 3 tables together we had so many people - everyone enjoyed Rawhide (the band) and the free buffet which was pasta meatballs and tortilla chips. Saw a small squid in the water on our way out - stopped in the park for tacos on the way home.

Fantastic day for snorkeling and a bit of fishing. We went as far north as Grand Caribe and anchored there to snorkel. Saw my first shark in the water today was about the length of my leg and had a straight looking front - a barracuda as long as my arm - lots of sea urchins - colorful fish - amazing brain coral - all kinds of cool shapes of coral and other interesting things to look at. Headed a short way south to fish - caught a nice snapper and another silvery fish - we did not get many big fish today - I saw them underneath the water but they looked sleepy hanging out in clusters by coral heads and not looking for a snack ha ha. After fishing we went lagoon side to go check out Blue Lotus - saw Sunny and Ruby and had the best pina colada. Got to go catch a few min down time as we are meeting up to go try Blue Moon the new restaurant above big Daddy's tonight with a few of the brat pack. Dinner was great the food was yum and prices to match. Afterwards we finished at DandE's
