Rum and Raffle benefit concert
Class was canceled today due to weather. I am sitting here chatting Lara on the coconut phone and eating fresh tortilla chips yum. Got email sent out this morning about tonight's concert. Should be fun - Indygal and Chris went Sunday to see her sing and said she was really good.
Rum and Raffle benefit concert by Folk/Rock singer Jill Holly
Friday January 23 (tonight)
Wet Willy's 6pm onward
$5 entrance includes a free raffle ticket
There will be drink specials, exotic rum, raffles and music
All proceeds go to Holy Cross School
Jill Holly was great always nice to hear someone new - nothing against any of the musicians here though. Lots of people turned up in support of the school and Vernon's exotic rum was a big hit. Big thanks goes out to Wet Willy's for hosting the event - Jill Holly for singing and everyone who came to help a worthy cause.
After we left we did a quick walk through of the grocery stores up there to see if there was anything we needed all we ended up with was a pack of cookies. Both of us were feeling hungry and decided that a food crawl was in order. We stopped for a fully loaded hot dog outside Ritchies then progressed down middle street for some pizza and were about to go for a taco in the park when DandiE's set off our craving meter and we decided that was a better option - after all who can resist coconut on a sugar come with a hot fudge bulls eye.
