Lunch at Lime

Caught a great sunrise this morning - I still find it so amazing that I can actually see this from bed - was gorgeous enough to make me go take a pic from the balcony.

Today is the Aquafit luncheon at Lime 1 pm - I am sure it will be a packed event as 10 - 15 people rsvp'd already and I know not everyone that planned to come has checked in yet.


A message from Mario - On behalf of Vicky & myself I would like to thank the community for their support in the Valentine's Hungry Monkey Subs Holy Cross fundraiser. We sold a total of 146 12" subs in 4 days and raised 150$ for the school.

Aquafit Lime luncheon was great about 15 or so of us turned up. We got to meet Dan who had not come to class yet but plans to - Gene and Kathy also managed to stop by before they had to catch their tropic flight starting their journey back to the states. Maureen said we should do this more often - it really was fun to socialize outside of class and enjoy a meal together especially since it was her cooking. You can see more pics on Ruthie's blog.

What a gorgeous view to wake up to every day - you are lucky indeed. Calgary is cold and grey in the mornings this time of year though we do get far more sun that most cities the rest of the day so I need to remember to be thankful for that. No where near the sunrises you get on the island though. Beautiful - thanks for sharing

According to 7News Belize, the Government of Belize is planning to 'De-Reserve' at least 3,000 acres of the Bacalar Chico Marine & Wildlife Reserve in Northern Ambergris Caye, and sell the land to developers. According to reports, the deal is all but done. Residents of Ambergris Caye are being urged to come together and protest this issue. It is also very important for non residents of Belize to support this issue. Many of you have fallen in love with Ambergris Caye and keep coming back for more. Please help us make it known how we feel about the preservation of Marine and Wildlife Reserve area of Bacalar Chico.
