Image
We got to Lime shortly after 6pm and it was packed. This weeks Tuesday night special was fish and chips yum. The fish was battered snapper and it was melt in your mouth. Fries were very crispy which is not always the case here due to the humidity they often are on the soggy side. You can call 226 - 4142 to find out what the weekly the Tuesday night special is. Big turn out for fish and chips Delicious Free Internet available at Lime with drink purchase All kinds of fun nights No shortage of different kinds of food and drink

There's no place like home

This past weekend I had the opportunity to represent Belize in the 1st Annual Lonely Planet Travel Blog Awards. I was very honored and excited to be nominated in the category of Best Image Blog. I spent 3 days in San Francisco and really enjoyed the food - especially the sushi and the architecture and charm of the City. As I traveled around San Francisco I thought to myself 'this place has palm trees and is likely somewhere I would consider living.' Then I got to thinking about the hustle & bustle - how crowded it was - the temperature this time of year was a little cool to my liking and I missed the blue sea and friendly faces of San Pedro. Sometimes it's good to get away for a little bit for a nice reminder of how much you love where you live. Special thanks goes out to all who made my trip possible by nominating me for these awards, and everyone who has supported my blog throughout the years. I would especially like to thank Forrest Jones - Pedro's Inn - San Ped

LA will be here soon. We are off for a day of shopping and sight seeing. We will go to china town today which I am looking forward to as I have not made it there yet. I might actually look at my shopping list not bothered to do so yet. LA told Gela to make sure and tire me out for her but I think she might be the one wearing me out not the reverse ha ha. More to come Was a great day shopping and riding cable cars around the city. LeahAnn took me for dim sum lunch and we got to talking to the couple who sat down beside us and it turned out one of them had been to Belize before. I told them to look me up if they ever come back. I loved the buildings in china town they looked so cool - my pictures do not do them justice. For dinner we went to Boudin's in Fisherman's Wharf area - they make the best sourdough bread. We both ordered clam chowder served in a bread bowl and I had a caesar salad with mine - totally delicious. After dinner I still had one errand to run - I was on a miss

Sushi Happy hour

Gela and I are just heading off to breakfast then I will have a shopping day. Pics to follow when I get home. Had a nice breakfast at Mel's Drive In - we both got steak and eggs special. I love old diner's - they had cool old pictures on the walls - very American Graffiti I love that era. Afterward we came back to Forrest's and Gela planned out our travel itineraries. She was like having my own personal gps. I had to run an errand for Paul this morning and she figured out the simplest way for me to ride bus and get close - it looked tricky on the map. The bus ride was great - went through Haight Ashbury area and had a nice scenic view. Came back Forrest's place to drop stuff off and was heading to catch the bus down town when a sign caught my eye ... Happy hour at the sushi place - 25% off rolls. I got very excited - food happy hour how cool is that so I went in and had miso soup salmon and California hand rolls. Spent a lot of time walking around downtown looking in s
